May 5, Wahweap/Lake Powell, AZ/UT
As Dirk told you folks on Tuesday, we are in a State Park, Wahweap/Lake Powell, and State Parks don't have very good wifi connections, usualy none at all. Well, after many hours of trying, Dirk has managed to download a few pictures, to show you what it is like here.
We went on a boat trip yesterday, the Desert Shadow, it was most enjoyable. It leaves from the Marina and travels up the Colorado River, to the Glen Canyon Dam wall and then through the Antelope Canyon.
When we started the trip we both thought, this can't be as good as the last time we were here and went to the Rainbow Arch. Well we were surprised, traveling through the canyon was just as spectacular.
Although this is a desert, it has it's own beauty, especially when the sun shines on the mesas and buttes, at different times of the day. I think late afternoon is always the most beautiful.
Heading back to some civilization tomorrow, will keep you all updated.
